Mini Cooper Limosine!!!

April 22nd, 2007

When talk about long, luxury car.. what will come to your mind?? To me, I will think of those limosine seen in Las Vegas Casino… Will you relate it with Mini Cooper?? Definitely not..

These are the pictures I got it from Crave : The Gadget Blog

Mini Cooper - Limosine

Mini Cooper - Limosine

This car is not a joke. It really is a 6-meter-long stretch limousine made from a Mini Cooper S car. It seats six. There’s a flat-screen TV, DVD player, telephone, and black leather interior. And there’s a pool, too–more specifically, a whirlpool that can hold two people. It has a retractable sunroof, so that you can have pool fun in the sun or cover it up in case anything goes on in there that, um, shouldn’t be displayed in public. So yeah, how much do you think this bad boy costs? I’d be almost willing to forsake my coveted Bathtub Racers for it.

IT Skills, Hot Skills or Cold Skills in 2010???

April 20th, 2007

I have read an interesting article from ComputerWorld, about the analysis and forecast of IT workforce in year 2010.

In this report they claimed “The IT worker of 2010 won’t be a technology guru but rather a ‘versatilist.’”

I have picked some of their statement here…

The most sought-after corporate IT workers in 2010 may be those with no deep-seated technical skills at all. The nuts-and-bolts programming and easy-to-document support jobs will have all gone to third-party providers in the U.S. or abroad. Instead, IT departments will be populated with “versatilists” — those with a technology background who also know the business sector inside and out, can architect and carry out IT plans that will add business value, and can cultivate relationships both inside and outside the company.

On the edges of this new world, expertise in areas such as financial engineering, technology and mathematics will come together to form the next round of imaginative tools and technologies. Google Inc., eBay Inc. and Yahoo Inc. are already hiring math, financial analysis, engineering and technology gurus who will devise imaginative algorithms to fulfill users’ online needs….

By 2010, six out of 10 people affiliated with IT will assume business-facing roles, according to Gartner. What’s more, IT organizations in midsize and large companies will be at least 30% smaller than they were in 2005. Gartner also predicts that by 2010, 10% to 15% of IT professionals will leave their IT occupations as a result of the automation of tasks or because of a lack of interest in the sector.

“For my money, the hot jobs in 2010 will be these enabler jobs: business enterprise architects, business technologists, systems analysts and project managers,” says David Foote, CEO and chief research officer of Foote Partners LLC, an IT management consultancy and workforce research firm in New Caanan, Conn. “If I were in IT, I would be in one of these jobs in the next five years. A lot of people can’t because they’re pure technologists. But there are some pretty safe bets for them both inside and outside of the service industry.”

“There is much more emphasis on the business domain and on project management skills than on the technical skills,” says Kate Kaiser, an associate professor at Marquette University in Milwaukee.

Kick-Start of life…

April 18th, 2007

There has been 3 days I didn’t update my blog since the last update on Sunday….

Why??

Because, basically this week is a new kick-start of my career life… I have resigned from my previous company and joining a new company located in KL…. I hate KL life… so congested, ppl walk so fast, traffic jam everywhere and so far away from my house…. My house is in Klang in fact….

but what to do?? The company is good…. For the sake of my career, I have to give and take lor…

I have to start taking public transport from this week onwards… I can’t stand the traffic jam in KL… I used to quit from a job in KL because of this reason also….

There has been 10 years I never take public transport… I would say, after I have my driving license, I stop taking public transport…. No matter how far my working place is… I will still choose to drive… because I hate waiting and congest with people… I feel more secure while I drive… because I decide when and where I want to go….

But since I start taking public transport this week, it is not that bad after all…. Firstly, it is cheaper than I drive, secondly, I can rest in my journey…. The most important thing, it really save a lot in my travel expenses… If I drive, I would have to afford for the petrol, toll fees, parking fees, maintenance… these fees are damn heavy…. almost 25% of my pay every month goes to travel expenses…. SIGH…

From this week onwards, I need to wake up an hour earlier than I used to be… drive to Klang KTM station to catch the Commuter Train.. then change to LRT at KL Sentral… the whole journey minimum takes me 1hr and 15 minutes… If I drive, I believe it will take me 2 hrs ++ to reach my working place….STRESS…

But of course, hopefully the LRT and KTM are always reliable… no delay, no breakdown… else I am gonna more STRESS….

So far, I still managed to come back home slightly early… to see my little Evonne before she fall asleep…. Because my dear wife always put her on bed pretty early… haha….

I believe this is the longest post I wrote as compare with all my previous posts… but sorry, no photo for this post… I will put more photo I captured in my future post…. I like pictures post, so the readers won’t get bored easily…..

Cheers…

BeeVon101 Wordpress Theme

April 14th, 2007

After 3 days of hard work, BeeVon101, new Wordpress Theme is finally released today.

BeeVon101 is a 3 columns theme design for Wordpress blogging. This theme is highly inspired by theme Pitr 1.5 made by Nurudin Jauhari.

This theme defaulted with black color blackground. I like black color because it gives me a feeling of stability and steady. Besides that, it is able to outstand the content of the blog which is mostly in white and orange color. This increase the visibility and readability of the story that blogger wanted to present to his/her fellow readers.

BeeVon101 - Sidebars

Different from the conventional 3 columns Wordpress themes, BeeVon101 resides its two sidebars only at the right side of the page. Some people may not like it, including me initially. But after a “daring” redesign, the outcome is outstanding, I would say. Maybe this makes it different from other themes.

BeeVon101 is currently applied by BeeVon Movie Blog as its theme of the page.

Available for download now at BeeVon.com.

If you have any suggestions, you are welcome to comment it under my blog.
