Advices from Bill Gates ???

Monday, May 14th, 2007

I got this from somewhere in the Internet, claiming that these are the advices from Microsoft ex-CEO, Bill Gates.

Check this out…

  1. Life is not fair - get used to it.
  2. The world won’t care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
  3. You will NOT make $40,000 a year right out of high school. You won’t be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.
  4. If you think your teacher is tough, wait until you get a boss.
  5. Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger flipping - they called it opportunity.
  6. If you mess up, it’s not your parents’ fault, so don’t whine about your mistakes, learn form them.
  7. Before you were born, your parents weren’t as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you are. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parents’ generation, try delousing the close in your own room.
  8. Your school may have done away with winner and losers, but life has not. In some schools, they have abolish failing grades and they’ll give you as many times as you want to get the right answer. This doesn’t bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
  9. Life is not divided into semesters. You don’t get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you find yourself. Do that on your own time.
  10. Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
  11. Be nice to nerds, Chances are you’ll end up working for one.

I found these advices are good for any of the people out there, still struggling to look for success of life… I am one of them… :D

Kick-Start of life…

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007

There has been 3 days I didn’t update my blog since the last update on Sunday….

Why??

Because, basically this week is a new kick-start of my career life… I have resigned from my previous company and joining a new company located in KL…. I hate KL life… so congested, ppl walk so fast, traffic jam everywhere and so far away from my house…. My house is in Klang in fact….

but what to do?? The company is good…. For the sake of my career, I have to give and take lor…

I have to start taking public transport from this week onwards… I can’t stand the traffic jam in KL… I used to quit from a job in KL because of this reason also….

There has been 10 years I never take public transport… I would say, after I have my driving license, I stop taking public transport…. No matter how far my working place is… I will still choose to drive… because I hate waiting and congest with people… I feel more secure while I drive… because I decide when and where I want to go….

But since I start taking public transport this week, it is not that bad after all…. Firstly, it is cheaper than I drive, secondly, I can rest in my journey…. The most important thing, it really save a lot in my travel expenses… If I drive, I would have to afford for the petrol, toll fees, parking fees, maintenance… these fees are damn heavy…. almost 25% of my pay every month goes to travel expenses…. SIGH…

From this week onwards, I need to wake up an hour earlier than I used to be… drive to Klang KTM station to catch the Commuter Train.. then change to LRT at KL Sentral… the whole journey minimum takes me 1hr and 15 minutes… If I drive, I believe it will take me 2 hrs ++ to reach my working place….STRESS…

But of course, hopefully the LRT and KTM are always reliable… no delay, no breakdown… else I am gonna more STRESS….

So far, I still managed to come back home slightly early… to see my little Evonne before she fall asleep…. Because my dear wife always put her on bed pretty early… haha….

I believe this is the longest post I wrote as compare with all my previous posts… but sorry, no photo for this post… I will put more photo I captured in my future post…. I like pictures post, so the readers won’t get bored easily…..

Cheers…
